Technology Breakthrough · Chip Innovation Empowerment | DoGain New-Generation High-Power Chip Technology Upgrade & Product Launch Event Successfully Held in Shenzhen

On September 8, 2026, the DoGain New-Generation High-Power Chip Technology Upgrade & Product Launch Event was successfully held at the Royal Howard Johnson Hotel Shenzhen (International Convention & Exhibition Center Branch). The event brought together industry associations, institutions of higher education, research institutes, and key enterprises across the entire laser industry chain. Gathering experts from academia, research and industry, it focused on cutting-edge core technologies of high-power semiconductor laser chips, explored new development opportunities for the laser industry during the 15th Five-Year Plan period, and jointly discussed new approaches for the independent upgrading of domestic laser technologies and the coordinated development of high-end manufacturing.

The launch event adopted an invitation-only model. A total of 75 key industry organizations were invited, with nearly 100 industry experts in attendance. Participants represented core players across the entire laser industry chain, including authoritative industry associations such as the Laser Processing Committee of the Chinese Optical Society, China Optics and Optoelectronics Manufactures Association, and Guangdong Laser Industry Association; top universities including Tsinghua University, National University of Defense Technology, and Shenzhen Technology University; leading domestic laser research institutes such as the Shanghai Institute of Optics and Fine Mechanics, Xi’an Institute of Optics and Precision Mechanics, and China Academy of Engineering Physics; as well as leading industrial chain enterprises like Han’s Laser, Raycus Laser, and JPT. The event fully demonstrates DoGain’s industrial influence and appeal in the field of high-power laser chips, and reflects the industry’s high attention and recognition of the innovative development of domestic high-power laser technologies.

At the event, DoGain unveiled its full portfolio of single-mode 980nm and 1064nm chips and modules. Targeting key challenges including single-mode high power, high reliability, broad gain spectrum and ultrashort pulse response, the company leverages its self-developed end-to-end IDM system to achieve continuous breakthroughs in epitaxy design, precision processing, facet passivation, coupling and packaging. The single-mode 980nm chips and modules deliver kink-free high power, full-temperature wavelength locking and telecom-grade reliability. The single-mode 1064nm seed source features controllable broad spectrum ranging from 15 nm to 40 nm, and has been supplied in volume to mainstream MOPA laser manufacturers. Built upon its mature single-mode technology platform, DoGain has established a single-mode product matrix covering 780–1100 nm, continuously spearheading the development of domestic high-power single-mode semiconductor laser technologies.

Meanwhile, DoGain officially launched its new 976nm series LC low wavelength drift products, introducing the original LC low wavelength drift chip architecture technology with fully independent intellectual property rights. Different from conventional industry solutions, this technology relies neither on external VBG grating components nor built-in DFB/DBR grating structures. Instead, it achieves excellent low wavelength drift performance through innovative native chip design, addressing the inherent wavelength drift pain point of high-power fiber lasers at the chip source.

At the launch event, the full product matrix of LC-HPL low wavelength drift COS devices and LC-Pump low wavelength drift pump sources was on full display, comprehensively demonstrating the results of technology commercialization. Breaking free from multiple constraints brought by grating-based solutions, including material costs, assembly processes and device reliability, this product series adopts a new integrated design based on the innovative concept of "chip-native performance". It successfully reduces the wavelength drift of LC chips to one-third that of conventional chips, offering laser system manufacturers a brand-new path for architecture optimization. The technology can effectively help downstream customers simplify the design of laser systems, cut the number of supporting components, achieve cost reduction and efficiency improvement at the system level, and further enhance the operational stability of laser equipment. It brings new momentum to high-end manufacturing applications such as sheet metal processing and additive manufacturing.

The launch event gathered numerous distinguished guests and industry think tanks, bringing together top domestic experts and scholars in the laser sector to share cutting-edge technologies. A lineup of authoritative figures took the stage, including Professor Zhang Qingmao, Chairman of the Laser Processing Committee of the Chinese Optical Society; Dr. Yang Guowen, Vice Chairman and CTO of DoGain; Dr. Liu Yuxian, Senior Technical Director; Professor Xiao Qirong from Tsinghua University; Professor Li Lu from Shenzhen Technology University; and Director Li Ping from the Laser Fusion Research Center, China Academy of Engineering Physics. They delivered in-depth interpretations and professional presentations covering frontier areas such as laser industry development trends during the 15th Five-Year Plan period, core technologies of high-power semiconductor laser chips, pump source technology iteration, ultraviolet light source innovation, and applications of laser fusion energy. Their sharing provided highly valuable insights and directions for technological upgrading and industrial layout of the industry.

Concurrent with the event, the 2026 DoGain Shenzhen production line for single-mode modules was officially commissioned, marking a breakthrough in the industrial deployment of the company’s full IDM industrial chain. The launch of this production line will comprehensively expand the company’s capacity for mass production and delivery of single-mode modules, further consolidating DoGain’s industrial advantages in the single-mode module sector and laying a solid production foundation for the commercialization and large-scale rollout of its products.

This launch event established an efficient platform for industry-university-research-application collaboration. Experts and enterprise representatives present engaged in in-depth discussions and targeted cooperation on technological innovation, product commercialization and industrial chain collaboration. The event effectively removes communication barriers between R&D, achievement transformation and industrial implementation, laying a solid foundation for future collaborative innovation and in-depth strategic cooperation across the industry.

As a leading domestic IDM manufacturer of high-power semiconductor laser chips, DoGain has always adhered to its core strategy of independent innovation in underlying technologies. It keeps focusing on the core laser chip sector and continuously breaks technological monopolies. The grand launch of the original LC low wavelength drift architecture technology and full lineup of new products represents another milestone technological leap for the company in the high-power laser chip arena.
